Vacancy & Eligibility Criteria

The following posts are open for recruitment:

1. Reader (04 Vacancies)

   • Qualification: Law Graduate (Professional) recognized by the Bar Council of India.

2. Senior Scale Stenographer (02 Vacancies)

   • Qualification: Graduation with a Diploma in Stenography and a six-month certificate in Computer Applications.

3. Junior Scale Stenographer (01 Vacancy)

   • Qualification: Same as Senior Scale Stenographer.

4. Translator (07 Vacancies)

   • Qualification: B.A. (Urdu as a subject) and LL.B with 30 wpm computer typing proficiency.

5. Data Entry Operator (02 Vacancies)

   • Qualification: Graduation with a Diploma in Computer Applications or BCA.

6. Computer Operator (04 Vacancies)

   • Qualification: Graduation with a Diploma in Computer Applications or BCA.
   • Selection Mode: Written test.

7. Developer (01 Vacancy)

   • Qualification: B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA in Computer Science/IT with 3 years of software development experience.

8. Compositor (01 Vacancy)

   • Qualification: Graduation with a one-year certificate/diploma in Computer Applications.
   • Candidates with BCA/B.Tech in CS/IT do not need an additional diploma.

Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age:
  • Open Merit Candidates: 40 years
  • SC/ST/RBA: 43 years
  • Physically Challenged: 42 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 48 years
  • Govt Employees/Contractual: 40 years

Domicile Criteria

Candidates must be domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir (as per S.O. 166 dated 18.05.2020) or residents of Ladakh for at least 15 years before applying.

Selection Process

The recruitment process involves:

• Written Test
• Shorthand & Typing Test (for Stenographers)
• Viva-voce/Interview (for specific posts)
