JKSSB Selection List for Junior Assistant Posts Announced
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released the Provisional Selection List for the recruitment of 306 Junior Assistants across various departments. These posts were advertised under Notification Nos. 04 & 05 of 2021 and 02 & 04 of 2022.
Category-wise Breakdown of Vacancies
The total 306 vacancies are distributed among different categories as follows:
- Open Merit (OM): 163
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 40
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 21
- Other Social Caste (OSC): 3
- ALC/IB: 8
- Residents of Backward Areas (RBA): 56
- Pahari Speaking People (PSP): 4
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 11
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Junior Assistant posts were required to meet the following qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized university
- Typing speed of 35 words per minute on a computer keyboard
Examination and Selection Process
JKSSB conducted the Typing Test, and the results were declared on August 8, 2024. Following this, the Written Examination (OMR-based) was held on August 25, 2024.
Based on the performance in these tests, the JKSSB published the Result/Score Sheet on September 18, 2024 under Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/32/2024-03 (7551754).
Document Verification
After the publication of the results, candidates falling under the consideration zone were called for Document Verification under Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/32/2024-03 (7551754) dated November 18, 2024. The verification process was conducted in Jammu and Srinagar offices from December 10 to December 17, 2024, with a supplementary verification round from January 7 to January 9, 2025.
