The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has sanctioned 9,970 vacancies for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) for the 2025-26 recruitment cycle. The zone-wise vacancies will be released soon, and candidates are advised to stay updated with the latest announcements.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC: ₹500/-
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹250/-

Age Limit (As of July 1, 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Age relaxation as per railway recruitment rules

Eligibility Criteria

  • Education:
    • 10th pass with ITI certificate in a relevant trade OR
    • Diploma/Degree in Engineering in the respective field

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes:

  1. CBT 1 (Computer-Based Test 1)
  2. CBT 2 (Computer-Based Test 2)
  3. CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test)
  4. Document Verification & Medical Examination
