Recruitment of Civilian Porters for Execution of Operational Works
The recruitment of civilian porters for operational work in the 3 Infantry Division Area of Responsibility is set to begin. This is a call for individuals to join the porter company to assist with operational activities, with a detailed recruitment rally to be held in Karu, Ladakh.
Important Details:
- Location: 603 EME Battalion, Karu, Ladakh.
- Porters Required:
- Main: 480 porters.
- Reserve: 144 porters.
- Date of Rally:
- Male candidates: 07 April to 09 April 2025.
- Female candidates: 10 April to 11 April 2025.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be citizens of India (both male and female).
- Must be medically fit.
- Candidates should be between 18 and 40 years of age as of 07 April 2025.
- Documents Required:
- Handwritten application form with six passport-size photographs.
- Aadhar card, character certificate, police verification, and medical certificate.
- Indemnity bond, volunteer certificate, and various other supporting documents.
Pay Scale:
- Basic Pay: ₹18,000/- per month.
- Allowances: Field and high-altitude allowances as per government rates.
Fitness Test:
- Physical Test: Candidates must carry 20 kg of load over a distance of 100 meters, inclining at a 30-degree angle.
- Medical Test: A medical examination will be conducted for all candidates.
Priority for Female Porters:
- 25% priority will be given to female candidates.
Recruitment Process:
Interested candidates (males) must present themselves at 603 EME Battalion, Karu, between 07 April and 09 April 2025. The female recruitment rally will take place on 10 and 11 April 2025. Entry will be restricted to the first 200 candidates per day.
